In 2004 I began sculpting stone. For me, sculpting is a complex and organic process which involves much contemplation at all stages, as well as trust, patience, intuition and surrender as the stone reveals itself and a form begins to materialize.  Once the design emerges, a sense of momentum stirs as the piece comes alive.

In 2008 I had the unique experience of sculpting marble for a month in Pietrasanta, Italy.  This beautiful sculpting village in Tuscany dates back centuries and is where countless artists have worked and studied.  It is here where Michelangelo once lived, quarried marble in the surrounding mountains, and sculpted.

In April 2013, I was awarded First Place for THE DANCER (SOLD) at the California Sculptures Symposium juried show in Cambria, California, where I also exhibited in 2014 and 2015. Additionally, my work has been shown at the Santa Paula Museum of Art, American Jewish University for several years and Gallery 825 in Los Angeles. Along with being a member of Los Angeles Art Association, I also am a member of California Art Club.

As in life, sculpting is a journey of changes and growth that connects me with my essence and purpose. It is a gift to work with nature’s vibrant energy of possibility and it is my intention, through sculpting, to celebrate passion, strength, grace and tranquility and to bring beauty into the world.
